CITIZEN SCIENCE
Seakola teams up with organizations that have citizen science projects, allowing students to not only learn, but contribute in major scientific researches through data collecting
Coral Bleaching Monitoring - Coral Watch is a University of Queensland's program that integrates global coral health monitoring with education and public outreach creating reef awareness using simple and engaging tools. This provides people with accessible information about coral reefs and climate change, and hands-on experience collecting scientific data on coral bleaching using the Coral Health Chart
Fish Identification - The Volunteer Fish Survey Project is a citizen science program that has generated one of the largest marine life databases in the world. With knowledge, training, and the opportunity to get involved, marine citizen scientists make significant and ongoing contributions.
Microplastic Survey - Marinedebris.id projet, initiated by Divers Clean Action (DCA) and BRIN (Badan Riset dan Inovasi Nasional) or fomerly known as LIPI, is a citizen science project to better understand about microplastics in our ocean. Using manta trawl as the main tool, marinedebris.id gathers data to see the condition of the water, whether or not it is polluted by microplastic
